Asset Property Services Ltd took on the challenge, and the result was nothing short of outstanding. This property had all the beautiful traditional features you’d expect: full timber joinery, original cladding, and tongue-and-groove soffits throughout. But it also came with some age-related issues.
Several areas of timber were rotten and needed careful replacement to maintain the home’s integrity and character. We carried out detailed re-putty work and glazing repairs across the windows to bring everything back to life. One of the biggest challenges was the presence of lead-based paint. As Registered Master Painters, we followed all correct health and safety protocols — using approved encapsulation and removal methods to ensure the job was completed safely and to the highest standard.
A lot of the house was stripped back to bare timber before any coatings were applied, allowing us to deliver a clean, strong, and long-lasting finish. After a full restoration, the home looks incredible. Every detail, from the soffits to the window sashes, now shines with new life while retaining its original character. The client was absolutely thrilled with the transformation — and so were we.
